Mission Statement

As a network of artists and art enthusiasts, this initiative seeks to incubate and support a thriving creative ecology in Brantford / Brant, which we define as a social space for artists and other creatives that is financially sustainable, gives access to salient resources, and engages new audiences in innovative and thought-provoking ways. We use applied anthropology as a consulting methodology to understand what inspires artists and art enthusiasts and how we can best enable that inspiration, and to promote how a thriving creative ecology is a critical component for the economic, social and imaginative development of a community. We work across disciplines and practices with various individuals and organizations that share in our passion to improve the arts & creative sector(s) in Brantford / Brant.

Objectives

  1. Create and expand Brantford / Brant’s imaginative capacity to support a thriving creative community through education and community engagement
  2. Highlight the value of the social profit sector and it’s function in Brantford / Brant
  3. Promote professional and resource development for artists in Brantford / Brant
  4. Create a membership network between various individuals and organizations that share in our passion to improve the arts in Brantford / Brant and will promote the overall mandate of this initiative

Value Proposition

As an independent collective of artists, creatives and art enthusiasts, we work across disciplines and practices with various individuals and organizations in the arts, creative and social profit sectors(s) of Brantford / Brant. We use reflexive research methodologies with participants from our communities to mobilize ideas quickly by applying our findings directly within the context(s) of our research.
